One month

Kristen is a month old.

She is smiling.

I think she must have colic, because she spends several hours each day crying and also cries for 2-4 hours in the middle of the night.  The whole family is beginning to feel exhausted, so I’m trying to find tricks to calm a fussy baby.  When Kristen isn’t in a crying spell, she is so calm and sweet.  I pray that we can find a solution soon, and if anyone has a suggestion I would love to hear it.

  1. Do you have a cradle swing? Our son, when he was collicy would last quite a while in a swing that rocks side to side (not front to back). Just an idea.

  2. You might give Lavender essential oil a try. The other night our baby had been crying for several hours and I did not know what else to try. I put lavender in the diffuser, and left her laying in the bed screaming. She went from screaming to smiling and babbling within about 2 minutes. So if you have not tried it yet, it may be worth a try.
