Rod had today off as well as yesterday, so we went mini-golfing.  It was warm but the wind is blowing and it felt pretty pleasant.

The first few holes, we were nice and all took turns and were encouraging to each other…that didn’t last long.  Soon it became a race to see who could get their ball in first.  There was much running, shouting and laughing.

The kids got a kick out of their old mom and dad trying to outdo each other.  They giggled as we kicked each other’s ball away or playfully shoved our way toward the hole.  Some of the courses had lying water and of course the little ones were drawn like magnets.  Most of the time it was kind of like dodge ball as we tried to not hit the little ones.  What a blast we had!  Sorry there aren’t more pictures, the camera ran out of batteries.

Gratitude List:

11.)  A man who takes his family golfing, instead of leaving us to go play golf by himself.

12.)  A breeze to make a hot day less miserable.

13.)  A husband who is playful, and doesn’t take himself too seriously.

14.)  Children who laugh and play.

15.)  Restoration (more to come on this in a later post).

16.)  A time to make sweet memories.

17.)  A man who will go to multiple Redboxes to find a movie I mentioned last night.

18.)  A loving sister, who is encouraging me to follow Christ alone.

19.)  Getting to wash dishes by hand, it is so relaxing.

20.)  Yummy fruit that is in season and on sale.

What are you thankful for today?
