Welcome to my little blog. My name is Melissa and I’m pleased to have you visit my home on the internet. If you were to pop over to my house you would be greeted with enthusiastic children. Our home is filled with (mostly) joyful noise. You would have to step over toys and there are probably dishes that need to be done and laundry that needs to be washed or folded, but such is life in a large family. There would be kids doing school work or playing or watching TV or playing video games (yes, our family watches the big, black box of doom). Let me introduce you to the family.
This is Rod, the man of the house. Isn’t he handsome? He is the most kind and patient man I have ever known. He works very, very hard and spends long hours at his job. He is very good at what he does, which means we are moved around a lot so that he can improve struggling stores. He spends his days off with us without any regard for what he would actually like to do. He is an amazing husband and daddy. I love him more and more each year we have together.
Here are the boys: Dylan (red shirt), Timmy (blue polo), and Sammy (blue striped shirt). They are active, fun-loving guys who bring much laughter (and some chaos) into our lives. They are a lot of fun!
And then there are the girls: Allie (the oldest), Kaitlyn (middle girl), and Kristen (the baby of the family). They really are full of “sugar and spice and everything nice”.
Yep, we have SIX kids – three boys and three girls! I’ve always wanted a large family, and even though it is more work than I ever imagined, it is completely wonderful. I am truly a blessed woman.
As for me, I’m just a wife and a mom trying to figure out this thing called life. I’m learning who God is and who I am. Thanks for coming over to our home and I hope you’ll visit again real soon.
